We installed CertainTeed’s “Landmark Solaris” solar reflective shingles on this home in Falls Church, VA. Landmark Solaris is a breakthrough “cool-roof” shingle developed by CertainTeed to reduce a roof’s temperature by 20% compared to traditional asphalt shingles. CertainTeed “Landmark Solaris” shingles are rated by the Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) for cool roofs and meets the California Title 24 requirements for cool steep slope roofing, may qualify for credits/points in LEED®, NAHB® and other “green” programs, and all colors meet ENERGY STAR standards for solar reflectance and thermal emissivity.
