EPDM

The EPDM (ethylene propylene diene terpolymer) single-ply rubber roofing membrane has been an appealing choice of the low-slope commercial roofing industry for over 40 years. It is the number one roofing choice of architects, roof consultants and contractors for both new construction and replacement roofing projects according to market surveys from Building Design and Construction, and Roofing/Siding/Insulation magazines, and the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA).

Insulated Nailbase

Insulated Nailbase provides both insulation and a nailable substrate for roofing, and can quickly be installed over a structural roof with nail or screw connection. It is constructed with a standard 1/2" or 3/4" ventilation spacing (other vent spacing options available upon request) between the insulation and OSB to dissipate moisture vapor and heat build-up. Standard roofing materials such as shingles, shakes, standing seam metal, tile, slate, etc., can be applied to insulated nailbase. It is particularly recommended for vaulted ceiling and log home applications.

Roofing Ventilation

Attic ventilation might seem like a minor consideration, but when properly installed, it can extend the life of your attic and roof structure -- saving you hundreds of dollars in repair costs.

During warmer months, ventilation helps keep attics cool. It helps prevent hot, moist summer air from warping the roof sheathing. It also stops shingles from deteriorating prematurely. What's more, fresh air in the attic makes a home much easier to cool, which can result in lower energy costs.

In winter months, ventilation helps reduce moisture to keep attics dry. It stops water from backing up under shingles, damaging insulation, and rotting the roof structure itself. It also helps prevent ice dams from forming. Ice dams occur in areas where snowfall and cold temperatures are common and pose a special problem because they prevent melt water from running off the roof.

Ridge Ventilation

A ridge vent runs the entire length of the roof peak (top point), blending into the roofline for a more attractive home.

Intake Ventilation

Intake ventilation is an essential component of a properly designed ridge vent system, and includes continuous soffit vents, under eave vents, vented drip edge, or shingle-over roof-top vent.

Attic Fans

Electric powered attic vents use a thermostat to fight heat, and a humidistat control to help prevent moisture buildup inside the attic. They can be directly wired to your home’s electricity, or can draw its power from the sun (optional solar powered version).
