Mark Mitchell, President

Mark Mitchell is the proud founder and co-owner of Consumer Construction and has dedicated the last 26 years of his life to building Consumer Construction into a company of which he can be proud. His love of construction, dedication to the customer, and his superior craftsmanship has enabled Consumer Construction to become one of the highest rated exterior renovation companies in Northern Virginia and has helped customers complete their dream homes through over 10,000 individual projects.

He began roofing while in high school working on his parents’ home and other neighborhood homes; he later funded his senior year of college by roofing six homes in Arborvale, West Virginia before graduating from West Virginia University with a B.S. in Business Administration. Since then Mark has raised a family of five children and has been happily married for 26 years. He now focuses his energy on building his family’s business, expanding his construction expertise through training and certification courses, and spending time with his family.

Bob Hagen, Vice-President

Upon graduating from St. Anselm’s College in 1973 with a B.A. in Sociology, Robert entered the roofing industry in Northern Virginia at Virginia Roofing. He then went on to a successful career at Bean and Mallow in 1979, and became co-owner of Consumer Construction in April of 1990. In his spare time Bob is both an avid and excellent golfer.

Mark Mohay, Estimator/Project Consultant

Mark Mohay is a highly-skilled and passionate craftsman who has transferred his expertise in the construction field into an estimating position for Consumer Construction. Mark’s success at Consumer Construction can surely be attributed to his very personal and relaxed approach towards each customer and his ability to successfully execute the customer’s wants and needs. When not working, Mark enjoys his time as a newlywed.

Luke Mitchell, Production Manager

Luke Mitchell has had a passion for construction since childhood and has taken every opportunity to learn from his father and then expand upon that knowledge. He graduated from West Virginia University in 2009 with a B.S. in Business Management and has since taken on the heart of the company’s workload as production manager. He handles the details specific to each individual job and often makes the trip to oversee the jobs firsthand. He also is constantly researching new products that Consumer Construction can offer its customers as well as improved versions of classic products that help set Consumer Construction apart from other contractors.

Patrick Mitchell, Marketing and Media Specialist

Patrick Mitchell has worked for Consumer Construction on and off for the past six years. His first responsibilities were sweeping the warehouse and emptying the trashcans, but since graduating from West Virginia University—with a B.S. in Business Administration—he has taken over advertising and the more technical responsibilities of the company. In his spare time Patrick likes to listen to music, snowboard, and work with computer graphics.

Miguel Mendoza and Crew

Miguel and his crew have been working for Consumer Construction for over 10 years on both large-scale commercial jobs as well as residential projects. They have completed hundreds of jobs throughout their employment with Consumer Construction and are frequently praised by customers for their professionalism, fast-paced work ethic, and respect for customers’ property. This crew is also one of the few fully certified roofing crews in Northern Virginia with every member of the crew certified as a CertainTeed Master Shingle Applicator.

Manuel Ortiz

Manuel has been with our company for over 12 years and his experience and technical knowledge show in his work. He is a Certainteed Master Shingle Applicator, as well as being a certified Duradek installer. His expertise not only includes roofing, but gutters, capping, carpentry, and siding.

Milli the Dog

Milli is Consumer Construction’s full-time mascot.
